Hell yeah, the new site-to-site VPN between exile.ocklon.net and the main lan is online and the new backup system is all operational. Long live the new backup server (until the admin decides to change everything again)

Yeah, so the admin decided to change the subnet of the priomary LAN on saturday and…. uhhhh…. everything broke. To the point where even updating this site was unavailable. Everything should be back online now. The new backup server is in the works so look for that soon.

The old proxmox backup server is officially offline for good. Your data is safe on one of the new ones, but backup targets are offline till I switch the disks.

The proxmox backup server is gonna be decommed and rebuilt. Current backups are being moved to pbs-02 and the old server will be taken offline in the very near futures

Noticed an offline drive. Need to troubleshoot. Stuff is all off right now.

This was supposed to be quick. Well, 8 hours later and I’m almost back online. Some services should be available.

Time to mess with some HDDs on the consolidated server. Lots of stuff will be offline in the interim. Will update when done

Doing some power load testing after the big upgrades and cluster rework. Some services offline for the next three hours or so. (will not update to say i’m done. Just assume i’m finished)

The Big Storage Server is online and mostly stable, services should be online until the admin gets bored and decides to make more changes.

After a lot faffing about. The Big Storage Server is back online but i’m going to leave most services off until the morning so I can do some testing and make sure we’re good.
